About

The Indigenous Media Map (TIMM) illustrates the diverse range of Indigenous media produced and distributed globally. TIMM is an interactive map for existing Indigenous media and provides a networking tool for Indigenous media organisations, producers and audiences. TIMM provides links to television and radio stations, print and online publications, Indigenous media organisations, blogs and social media producers including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube users who produce and share informative or news content. Map users can search TIMM by media type or by region.

HOW DO I INCLUDE OUR MEDIA ON THE MAP?
If you are an Indigenous media organisation or producer, you can put yourself on the map. You will be asked to complete a short survey about your organisation, the media you produce and your work. The survey should take about 10 minutes – longer if you produce a range of different media.

TIMM is produced by Griffith University, Brisbane, Queensland researchers as part of the ‘Online media: Investigating the use of online media in the global Indigenous public sphere’ project. Griffith University and the Griffith Centre for Cultural Research fund this work. Project information, ethical clearance, participation and/or withdrawal of participation is available
